  Community Safety Drugs and Alcohol

The negative effects of drugs and alcohol on both individuals and communities is a consistent problem for our clients across the country.

The nature of this problem varies from one location to another but it is apparent in rural and urban areas throughout the UK. To support Drug Action Teams, CDRPs and others we have developed a range of services that help to inform service planning and commissioning of initiatives to tackle these complicated issues.

Our specialist Consultants can undertake research to assess the prevalence of drugs in your communities or within specific community groups. This data can be used to help map drug misuse across an area or to understand a community's needs. We are also able to support the development of Substance Misuse Plans or evaluate the effectiveness of existing services and initiatives. A recent project delivered for a client sought to identify hidden communities within their rural County who it was believed were involved in drug misuse and needed help or support. The project also involved work with existing service users regarding their views and perceptions of current services. The findings were used to help inform service planning and commissioning.
