  Community Safety Domestic Abuse

Domestic Abuse in all its forms is abhorrent and we have worked with clients to help them tackle their local issues and to support victims. Priority Research has delivered some very in depth projects working with victims and perpetrators of domestic abuse. This experience has led to a real understanding of domestic abuse and knowledge regarding the best ways to approach and deal with victims and offenders.

This experience and expertise gives us a clear advantage over other companies when delivering this type of project. We employ a Community Safety Specialist who has a background in implementing services for victims and in delivering domestic violence strategies. Our team also comprises a practising Clinical Psychologist who is very experienced in working with both victims and offenders. This mix means that we can gather very sensitive data and turn it into recommendations for action that will help to tackle local domestic abuse issues.

Recently we have delivered a major project that investigated hotspot locations for domestic abuse; evaluated provision for victims and undertook a gap analysis of current services. We have also helped to write a number of Domestic Violence Strategies based on our research findings. If you would like to know more about how we undertake research into this sensitive area then please get in touch.
